We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights for our trip to Bukittinggi. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. We had some issues with our room in the first place but it get sorted immediately by the hotel team so it was fine. Staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs, room is comfortable but I believe should be properly maintained. Variety of options in breakfast buffet and generally tasted good. Room rate is reasonable and worth it if you are travelling to Bukittinggi.
I think this hotel is the most strategically placed establishment. It's within walking distance to the city's icon, The Big Clock (Jam Gadang). Both side of the hotel offers great view. Southeast side points to The Big Clock, northwest side to the Sianok Canyon. For the room, the decor needs refurbishment, some ramping-up. It looks outdated (this hotel appears quite to be in the senior league). Breakfast was great and delicious. Parking lots were adequate. All in all, there's still a lot of room for improvement.
Nice place for staycation while visit to Bukittinggi town, with special iconic is Jam Gadang. The hotel is located near by Jam Gadang. This hotel is one of hotel that you need try to stay. Cheers
I booked connecting room and we got the best view of mount marapi. Smooth early check in. Breakfast spread is good. Rooms are clean and spacious.
I stayed at the Grand Rocky Hotel Bukittinggi for 7 nights, this is my second time staying at this hotel. There have been many positive changes, especially with the Front Office Relations team, who promptly assisted with several requests I made and even offered small things but very helpful during my stay here. Room cleanliness has improved, although there is still room for improvement, particularly in the bathroom area. However, overall, the hotel has improved in terms of service and cleanliness. I highly recommend staying at this hotel! Breakfast also more varied, served attractively, traditional Padang dishes changing daily. For food lovers, you'll be delighted by the many food vendors around the hotel, from large restaurants to traditional street seller. There’s plenty to try, including Pical Sikay, Ayam Pop at Benteng Restaurant, Rendang from RM Selamat, and even Durian! Enjoy your trip to Bukittinggi and stay in Grand Rocky.

Morning view from 626, with balcony. Very nice view. Room is very spacious, 32 m2. We stayed from 24-26 Dec 2024. Price up to Rp. 1Mio/night. Unfortunately breakfast was tasteless... But we can have breakfast in Pical Ayang, just around the junction.
Very near to city centre. Excellent hotel. Very complete breakfast for locals and foreigners. Great place to be. Very nice view from the Roma and the pool/dining room
